The ZZ5207TXFV471GF5 Foam water tank fire truck is a high-performance mobile firefighting vehicle designed for rapid fire response and efficient water and foam delivery. Manufactured by China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, this fire apparatus combines a robust chassis, powerful engine, advanced water pump system, and well-organized equipment compartments to ensure firefighters can operate effectively in any emergency scenario. The vehicle’s structure and features comply with GB7956 “Fire Truck Performance Requirements and Test Methods” and National VI emission standards.

1. Chassis & Powertrain

The fire truck is built on the ZZ5207TXFV471GF5 chassis with a MC07.35-60 engine delivering 257 kW. It features a rear-wheel drive system with a wheelbase of 4,700 mm. The overall dimensions are 8,360 mm × 2,510 mm × 3,550 mm, providing ample space for water tanks, pump room, and equipment storage. The chassis conforms to GB3847-2005 and GB17691-2018 National VI emission standards, ensuring environmental compliance.

2. Cab Configuration

The vehicle comes with a flat-front, dual-row cab with four doors, accommodating 6 personnel (2 front, 4 rear). The cab is equipped with hydraulic tilting mechanisms for maintenance access and front protective handrails. The rear seats include brackets for rapid air respirator deployment, allowing firefighters to prepare en route to fire scenes. Additional features include PTO control switch, 100W siren, and warning light control, with a long-row red warning light mounted on the cab roof.

3. Water & Foam Tanks

The truck carries 6,000 kg of water and 2,000 kg of foam agent. The water tank is made of high-quality carbon steel with internal anti-corrosion treatment, and the foam tank is constructed of stainless steel. The tanks feature internal longitudinal and transverse baffles to minimize fluid impact during transit, and the front and rear plates have trapezoidal reinforcements for additional rigidity.

The tank top is equipped with quick-opening manholes for easy maintenance, and stainless steel float-type level indicators provide accurate readings on the dashboard. The bottom drain features a ball valve, while side inlets and overflow pipes allow refilling from other vehicles or water sources. Tanks undergo strict welding and 24-hour hydrostatic testing to ensure leak-free performance.

4. Fire Pump & Piping System

The fire truck is equipped with a CB10/60 low-pressure rear-mounted pump, delivering 60 L/s at 1.0 MPa. The vacuum pump is piston-type, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant, achieving maximum vacuum ≥85 kPa and maximum suction depth ≥7 m within 35 seconds.

Water is drawn via a Φ150 mm inlet and discharged through roof-mounted Φ100 mm firefighting monitors and side outlets controlled by manual ball valves (Φ80 mm & Φ65 mm). Filling and drainage pipelines are installed with ball valves for pump protection, and cooling water piping supports PTO operation under complex conditions. Foam proportioning is handled by a ring pump type system, adjustable from 3% to 6%.

5. Fire Monitor / Water Cannon

The vehicle features a PL8/48 foam fire monitor (Weiste) mounted atop the water tank. It delivers 60 L/s with a spray range of ≥65 m for water and ≥60 m for foam at 1.0 MPa pressure. The monitor is manually operated with a locking mechanism for safety and ease of control.

6. PTO (Power Take-Off)

The fire truck uses a full-power sandwich PTO, cooled by forced water cooling and lubricated via splash oil. PTO operation is controlled from the dashboard, providing smooth engagement with no abnormal noise. Installation is precise to prevent accidental detachment.

7. Equipment Compartments & Pump Room

The truck’s body includes a front equipment compartmentcentral water/foam tanks, and rear pump room. Both compartments have lockable aluminum alloy roller shutter doors with built-in lighting. Interior racks are made of aluminum profiles with oxidized panels, ensuring durability and corrosion resistance.

Flip-down aluminum alloy steps with anti-slip surfaces and spring/lock mechanisms allow safe access to compartments. Compartments and pump rooms are designed based on ergonomic principles, ensuring equipment is quickly accessible with 1–2 movements.

8. Electrical System

The truck’s electrical system operates at 24V with independent circuits for siren, warning lights, and strobe lights. The dashboard controls PTO, siren, and lights. The roof is equipped with a red long-row warning light and fire scene spotlight, while LED lighting is installed in all equipment compartments and pump rooms. Side and rear reflective markings comply with safety standards.

9. Pump Room Control Panel

modular control panel is mounted at the rear pump room, equipped with liquid level gauge, tachometer, pressure gauge, vacuum gauge, switches, throttle, and water suction controls. All controls have clear Chinese markings, adequate lighting, and are designed for safe, intuitive operation.

10. Paint & Exterior Finish

The truck is finished in bright red paint, meeting GB7258 and GB/3181 color standards. All welds, rivets, and mounting points are inspected for strength, flatness, and adherence to enterprise standards.

11. Compliance & Documentation

The vehicle conforms to GB7956 Fire Truck Performance Requirements and Test Methods. All operating switches, gauges, and equipment racks carry durable identification plates. Included documents:

  1. Chassis Manual & Warranty

  2. Fire Truck Operation Manual

  3. Fire Pump Manual

  4. Vehicle & Engine Serial Copies

  5. Tool List & Spare Parts Documentation
